5 Healthy Breakfast Ideas

Breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day, and because it is it is our responsibility to be healthy and energized, we must take extra care to eat only the most healthy, and delicious breakfast available. There are a lot of breakfast ideas out there. Depending on your age, gender, social status and diet plan, they can vary greatly in both ingredients and nutrition. There are however some misconceptions about the whole ‘eating a healthy breakfast’ routine, but more on that later. For now let us look at the 5 breakfast ideas which would turn you from a lazy person to a pro-active go getter.

Low Carb Breakfast

Bacon And Eggs
I know what you are thinking. How does all this cholesterol count as healthy? Well the answer is pretty simple. Cholesterol, any kind of cholesterol be it good or bad, is okay as long as you don;t eat excess amount at one sitting. Two eggs and a couple of strips of bacon never killed any one, and never will for that matter. If you are on a low carb diet, you can even have an extra egg and an extra strip of bacon. Of course bacon can be substitutes with any kind of meat you like. This breakfast gives you essential fats and a lot of protein. Avoid simple carbohydrates, like sugar and limit your fruit uptake to no more than 1 apple, or 1 orange per sitting.

Spinach-Cheese Omelet
Like Popeye the Sailor Man, you also have to eat a lot of spinach if you wish for that iron to get in your blood. You can get quite a lot of vitamin from spinach, and if you feel like adding some artichoke or celery, by all means be my guest. Cheese is added to the omelet to make it more nutritionally satisfying.  This dish will bring you both vitamins and minerals as well as fat, and very little carbohydrates! Contrary to popular belief, people don’t get fat from fat alone. So this omelet make for one especially healthy breakfast.

High Carb Breakfast

Oatmeal and Fruit
If you are involved in hard, physical exercise, then a high carb breakfast is just what you are looking for. Of course I would not recommend this dish for anyone who is aiming to trim down on their weight. Basically you make yourself nice bowl of oat meal. Use skim milk only! For fruit you can use either oranges or apples, although citrus fruits are the eats of choice. A bowl of oat meal, one orange and if you still feel unsatisfied, you can have a banana as well. Know that this breakfast will be chock-full of sugar. So make sure to burn it right away!

Cheese and Tuna Melt on Whole Gran Bread
Again we go with cheese and protein, but this time we are combining it with carbohydrates as well. The best choice for you is to get an all organic rye bread – the darker the better. Drain and mix the tuna with some mayo and finely chopped celery. Add a dash of lemon juice. Spread evenly on top of your toast, add cheese and grill in a pan until the bread is cooked. Close the sandwich and enjoy!

Vegetarian’s Delight – Pancakes with chocolate syrup and coconut
Pancakes are a great way to start the day. In fact you can make them using dark, unrefined flower for better ‘health’ effect. I know that a lot of you are concerned about eating chocolate, for it is jam-packed with sugar. That is why I always prefer melting some bitter-dark chocolate instead of buying store brands. Dark, unsweetened chocolate has a very few sugars and is ideal for one healthy pancake breakfast.
